Laguna Vista established our 24/7 Emergency Medical Services Department on October 4, 2023. This department’s mission is to respond immediately to 911 calls for service during a medical emergency. The genesis for this department was the critical need for medical assistance in our community, delivered in the first three minutes of a medical emergency crisis.

 

 

The EMS personnel are stationed at and respond from the local Laguna Vista Fire station seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Since inception, the department is responding to an average of ~30 - 35 calls per month. When they are not responding to calls, they focus on essential and on-going medical and emergency response training in a focused effort to keep their skills honed and up to date with all medical standard operating procedures.
