To register and obtain your HOT Registration Number, please fill out the form, or fill out the Hotel Occupancy Registration Form and bring to City Hall anytime Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm or you can email it to us at info@lvtexas.us

HOT is a tax applicable to all short-term rental (STR) stays lasting less than 30 consecutive days.

The tax rate for Laguna Vista is 7%, and monthly reports are due by the 20th of each month.

HOT can be paid online or in person.Property owners must file a HOT Return Form each month, even if the property was not rented. Zero claims are necessary.

Failure to register or submit the HOT Return Form can result in fines up to $500, with potential daily fines for non-compliance.A one-time registration fee of $50.00 per owner is required.

Subsequent properties must be registered, but only one fee is applicable.

Registration can be done electronically or by downloading the Hotel Occupancy Registration Form. Forms can be submitted at City Hall between 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm, Monday to Friday. All advertising or promotion of properties must prominently display the unique Laguna Vista issued registration number.
